Nace en Estella el Festival Ega Rock
La música como reclamo para los jóvenes es la fórmula por la que, vestida de festival, ha apostado la comisión municipal de Juventud del Ayuntamiento de Estella. Se trata del Ega Rock, bajo cuyo título se cobijarán las actuaciones de Sutagar, The Bon Scout Band, Arai y Cómplices del Silencio, en el frontón Lizarra.
El presidente del área municipal, el regionalista Jesús Sancho, reveló en rueda de prensa que la iniciativa de ofrecer un concierto por Navidad partió de Haritz Crespo, integrante del colectivo Musiklaz Blai, que a su vez forma parte de la comisión de Juventud. "A partir de esta idea, la técnico Marta Estébanez y yo pensamos que se le podía dar más empaque con un festival que tuviera continuidad en los próximos años".
Surgía así Ega Rock, cuyos grupos participantes fueron elegidos por los colectivos integrantes en el área municipal. Los vascos Sutagar parten como reclamo, seguidos de propuestas menos conocidas pero, tal y como advirtió el concejal, de gran calidad. "Los catalanes The Bon Scout Band hacen un tributo muy bueno a AC/CD. Arai es un grupo de Peralta que ha ganado el Festival KoponRock de Larraga y quedaron finalistas en el de Tudela. Y Cómplices del Silencio, de Estella, lo hicieron muy bien en la demostración de grupos locales", desgranó el edil regionalista.
El Ayuntamiento ha delegado la organización del concierto a la firma Hostelería Ocio Tafalla, que se quedará con la recaudación de taquilla y del servicio de hostelería instalado en el frontón. "Como sabemos que la actividad puede resultar deficitaria, Juventud dispone de una ayuda de hasta 6.000 euros en caso de pérdidas", avanzó el concejal, que se mostró encantado con la gestión de la firma. "Me consta que van a preparar un buen espectáculo con 30.000 vatios de sonido y 50.000 de luz".
